I was just wondering this because I have absolutely no idea and thought some of you may have researched the answer. The Faustman Lab is ready for its Phase II trial for the BCG stuff. They have raised $10 Million of the $25.2 Million it needs to conduct the trial. Why does it need $25.2 Million? That seems like a LOT of money to conduct a trial using a "cheap" BCG vaccine.

As a pharmacist I can tell you that the actual drug is often the cheapest part of the trial. It's liability, compensation, logistics, FDA motions, there is more paper work in new drug research/approval then pretty much anything else out there. It is sad that they only need $15 more millions which we all know would be pennies to worlds oligarchs.
