Type 1 documentary
This is a link to an amazing documentary that will premier at the Montreal World Film Festival. It follows a type 1 teen girl who was diagnosed just before her 16th birthday. The trailer brought me to tears. Yay awareness!!

seems very interesting, please remind us all when it comes out.
When a 16 year old questions herself, asking If I had been born in another country I might not be alive? Such a true and troubling statement.

It is truly troubling.
 If anyone is interested in receiving alerts and information on the documentary, there is an email sign up on the link. This is the email that I received after I signed up for updates. I for one will be getting a copy of the DVD and showing it to whoever I can get to watch it. Hi Ellie, Sweet 16 is a documentary about teen diabetes. It will be released in early 2012, in select theatres across Canada, and then on DVD as well as on CTS Television in Canada. We will be providing regular updates and pre-release videos along with info about our upcoming websites and iphone apps, specially geared for the Diabetes community and their families and friends.
