We've gone to several theme parks since my son got his pump. He goes on all the roller coasters, and has never had a problem with losing his pump. If he has on cargo shorts, he puts it in the side pocket with the velcro or button. But he's kept it in his regular front pocket, too. Some rides it's not comfortable to have something in your pocket, so he'd disconnect and put it in one of the storage bins that are next to the ride (the ones where only the people riding can use). For the water parks, he just disconnects for that particular ride, or for the few hours he's in a bathing suit. When I'm around, he hands it to me. On the class trip, he put it in a locker. From what we've found, it depends on the ride. But he's never lost it or had it fall out / off. I've always been more worried about it getting stolen in one of the bins than falling out of his pocket. But again, we've found it depends on the ride (upside down or regular or in a car or hanging loose) and how the harness is shaped.

Just realized that this is in the UK forum. I'm in the US, but I imagine a roller coaster is a roller coaster.

We are in US also, Kayla did have one guy go to push the bar down tighter and she asked him to wait to push her pump aside. The guy said it is helpful to them to know right away that she has an insulin pump on, so they don't accidentally break it. But she has been on many rollercoasters without a problem.
