Default CGM Tatoo

I am not a tatoo gal, but this is something that I would love...I had heard of this in the past, and obviously it isn't anywhere near ready, but thought I'd share.......

Do the colours translate to numbers on the receiver screen though? If there's only 3 colours (low, normal, high bg) then its akin to going back to colored urine strips for testing! Am I missing something?

I think it's a great idea. I don't believe that I will always be able to afford CGMS, and it would probably work out far less expensive. Much as it wouldn't be as accurate as current technologies, I mostly rely on my CGM to alert me of lows and highs so that I can test, rather than to give a precise determination of my BG.

I don't know anything more than the article said...but I think it would be great for my kids, especially with sports....

It's very possible that the three different colors would have a gradient between them allowing a rough quantitative glucose concentration.

And I would have to admit some real value and use of a LOW/NORMAL/HIGH situation if it's reliable.

I sort of assumed this as well. Wonder what would happen if you had a tan or dark skin?
