I am again desperate again with plasters and summer.
This weekend I have used 4 sensors and don't know what to do. We have tried all of the possible plasters, creams, sprays under.... everything. I have now even started her on Zyrtec to maybe reduce the itching, but no, today another sensor has gone. Can anyone suggest anything? Even if its out of ordinary. We need sensor, because she goes fast up and down and does not feel hypos or hyper. Thanks to all in a advance

Morisse thanks a lot for Polyskin, we ordered it but she has got pretty big allergy from it. So this one is out as well

one more thing I remember,
I have seen once one video on you tube of a bit older girl showing how to insert pump or sensor. I remember she has placed some kind of plaster on the skin before inserting the sensor. Does anyone knows what it was?

One thing that works for me is Desenex the foot powder for athlete's foot. It keeps the area dry and keeps me from itching. I have tried others things but nothing worked as good as that. But I only use the sprinkle form of Desenex and not the spray on form. Any other thing causes me to break out in a rash.
Also could she be allergic to Latex? That might be another contributor. But it is just a thought. The itching must be pretty intense, poor baby.

I have a daughter (nonD) with terrible allergies that make her rashy and itchy all the time. The rash progresses to bleeding sores when she is exposed to certain things that she is VERY allergic to.

She works in a restaurant and the sanitizer they use for cleaning is awful for her skin. My husband bought her this (http://www.glovesinabottle.com/) to rub into her skin at work. It is AMAZING how good her skin looks compared to before! It provides a barrier that doesn't allow the allergen to come in contact with the skin. I worried she would become allergic to the lotion because she is allergic to so very many things. It has been several months and she still uses it successfully.

My son with diabetes seems to be developing allergies just like his sister and I am planning to try this product under the tape if he ever develops an allergy.

Thank you both,

I am already so desperate, so I am going to try and find both of the products and try it

You could also try spraying area with a cortaid spray prior to doing anything else. We use cortaid spray, then cavilion barrier wipe, then Tegaderm HP, then his pod because of allergy to adhesive.
Through skin testing, it was found that my son is allergic to colophony which is used in products to make things sticky from the sap of trees...which he is also allergic to all trees....go figure!!!
