Default Take Diatribe Surveys...Earn $5

Below is the address for Diatribe. They are a research company for people and products relating to diabetes. If you join, they send updates and such to you periodically and several times a year, they send surveys. The surveys ask about medications you/your child takes, how you deliver insulin, what features are important to you in pumps, cgms, etc. If you complete the survey, you get $5 or you can donate that $5 to one of many charities or research institutions. I think this is a win-win that only takes about 5 minutes. We get a bigger voice in what is important to us in our management of diabetes and either we or someone we designate gets money...granted its not much money but every little bit helps!

By the way, each survey also has a place where you can "vent" or provide "constructive criticism" on products you use or have used.

Maybe, or it is just a way for them to gather marketing information that they turn around and sell.

I've done several of their surveys over the past 2 years. I always choose to donate the $. I don't know if my voice is being heard or not, but Diatribe is one of the best newsletters I've found for keeping current with trials & new products. I especially like the articles Gary Scheiner writes for them.

If they're gathering marketing info, they're not doing a very good job of selling it. I haven't noticed anything different in my email or snail mail.

Actually I hope they are doing marketing as it will hopefully make those Comps producing CGMS, Pumps,Test Strips,Meters, Drugs, Insulins etc, do a better job of meeting what "I" the T1 wants..I agree it is always a double edged sword but diatribe appears to be a bit better than many in giving good info and being upfront about themselves. But it is always good to really look into the motives of anything offered online or through the mail that asks for info. Ali

I did it and donated the money. I figure if lots of people donated, that's a big chunk of money to your charity. Every little bit helps. I donated to dr. Faustman. Hope she comes though for us.

I always do the surveys. They partially fund my Amazon addiction. I remember doing these surveys when Diatribe was a paid subscription and doing surveys was a way to get the news letter for free. I always enjoy Diatribe.
