Default Need help with lows today

My dd has been battling lows since 11am today.
I checked her before we went tomthe park 10a-268. Thought good she can run around and be fine....
11am checked her 56... Lowest I have seen since dx. Got her 112, had lunch insulined a little more than 1/2 her meal.
Checked her at 1p-112 gave her a juicy juice and napped.
5pm 77......

Help!!!!

i would use lower temp basals for now. You may need to also reduce meal bolus, but you'll have to see about that after lowering the basals.

Do extra checking, particularly overnight.

Agree with PP. Can you explain how you dosed her for lunch? i'm a little confused with that. Can you update how her dinner/post-dinner numbers are?

I gave her smarties o get her to 112. Then let her eat lunch which was 45 carbs but I only put 35 into pump. Before dinner 77. Gave her uncovered 15 gram then reg insulin for dinner... Now before bed 268. I finally broke down, I am exhausted I really dislike diabetes and everything along with it... Sorry but I have bad days and this on topped my chart.

((HUGS)) We all have bad days. I completely understand, and everything is still so new to you. You'll be fine. There is something called a rebound where the liver kicks in glucose too late, often hours after a low. The uncovered carbs from treating these lows and withholding those lunch/dinner carbs are probably catching up to her too. Correct as usual, test like crazy over night, and go cry it out/have a glass of wine/watch something really stupid on TV. Unwind however you can! We had a day very similar to this yesterday with BGs between 48-120, followed by highs from midnight into today. Me and my family hate diabetes right along with you! Good luck and I'll probably be up late too (El just went to bed at 240). Maybe I'll get on CWD to talk
