Default Byetta Lawsuits

I just saw a commercial on T.V. for a law firm looking for people interested in lawsuits against Byetta? Sorry, I only saw the tail end of it, not much info. Something about it causing pancreatitis?

Anyway, my dh is type 1 and takes Symlin. It's made by the same company that makes Byetta, Amylin. Do you think he should stop injecting it???

Certainly discuss your very valid concerns with his endocrinologist. Is the Symlin working well? According to what some experts have been saying, the incidence of pancreatitis in the population of people with diabetes, is higher than in persons without diabetes. The experts don't necessarily feel the numbers of people taking Byetta who have developed pancreatitis is higher compared to those with diabetes not taking Byetta. It may be that the Byetta is not the cause of the pancreatitis.
