Default Anybody else have bad Dexcom G4 sensors that expire in Oct.?

Our box of October expiration G4 sensors have been wacky. Number off by more than 200 points at times. Saying 40 and be normal and saying high and being in the 100s.

Oh, no! What is the lot number? I have a box we haven't opened yet that expires 10/14 - lot number 5054693, ref # STS-GL-041.

I've just started heavily campaining my son to at least give the G4 a try and use this one box we have. If it's defective, he'll never try again!

I would still give them a try. 2 of the 4 worked okay I would say from the box. Just not great as usual. 2 were horrible.

This is exactly what I dealt with all night for the last two nights. I was told "You can replace the sensor if you like." Really? Really? I can? Does that mean you're replacing it? No. (Which later became a yes when I wasn't going to accept that this is normal or acceptable.) Did y'all know that the sensors are allowed to be way off 20% of the time, not just within 20% accuracy? If that's the quality we can expect rather than what I've seen for the last 9-10 months, then I'd quit CGMing. The last two nights have been as bad or worse than no CGM at all. Awakening repeatedly for "lows" that were beautiful 108 and 109s (at least she was stable) or being awakened for a 367 that was a 123. Having it be accurate for the next blood check but by the next one, the CGM says she's dropping by 50s points when blood said she's climbed by another 50 points. I warned the person I was sleep deprived, but I was seeing when she told me that with puberty, the system can't expect to keep up and be accurate. My daughter has been in puberty all year & the system has managed. Bah. At least I finally argued my way into a replacement so that I don't have to have another night of this.

Up until now, the G4 has mostly been a great system with great customer service. I could even deal with an occasional bad sensor when they were cheerfully replaced. But to deal with that & less than helpful customer service, AARGH.
