    Default Free Ketone Meter

You do need to register and then Abbott will call you to confirm but you are supposed to get a free ketone blood meter in the mail then.

    Default keytone meter

Our endo gave us a keytone meter...whenever we have appointments, they give us new strips for it. I had to ask for it, because we were having trouble checking ben for keytones with the cotton ball in the diaper method, but it was free.

The Precision Xtra is the only glucose and blood ketone meter on the market. You need the special ketone test strips to use with it. A box of 10 test is 45.75 @ CVS.com or 42.99 @ walgreen.com

Thanks for the info! Just tonight I saw this meter on sale at Walgreens for $9.99. So if you want two of them - the free one and a cheap back-up one call your Walgreens Pharmacy and see if they have them on sale in your area too. We only use our Ketone meter a few times a year but I'm always so thankful to have one when I need it.
