So glad you're using the CGM and I hope it works well from here!
    2. Darryl
We change it at the same time every week (Sunday night), so it is seven days. You have to calibrate more often on the 7th day because the sensor begins to weaken, and the ISIG is lower for a given BG, so if you don't cal often enough then you may get false lows. On day 3 we do a restart. On day 6, we do a restart but first unplug and reconnect the transmitter before the restart otherwise the transmitter may stop suddenly on day 7 before we have the new one working.

Hi! Usually for a BG of 100 we see an ISIG between 10 and 18. Most commonly between 12 and 15.

On the 7th day, we'll see an ISIG of 10 or lower for a BG of 100, and when the ISIG drops below 5 for a BG of 100, the sensor will die completely within an hour or two.

      I hope this helps,

Nice profile pic Marsha. And here you were so reluctant to post your picture in that thread awhile back.:p I think people are going to be pretty shocked. In a good way.;)

Nice to see you back. Who knows, maybe you'll see me on Facebook. I might be too busy, though, because my job just picked up big time.

Hi Marsha! Good to see you posting again! Sorry your vacation sucked!
    15. Jacob'sDad
How ya doin' Marsha? Did you do Disney yet or is that where you are now? I hope everything is going well for you and your family. Jacob's 7 day meter average is down to 138! More lows than I like but that's the nature of the beast.
Hope to see you posting soon!

Hi Marsha--I just read your posts this AM and thought, "she hasn't been online much lately." Came to see your stats to see if I had just been missing you and see Jacob's Dad also has been missing you. Hope all is going well w/ you and your family, you definitely bring great wisdom to CWD so hope you will be back again!

Nice to see a couple of new posts, stranger! What was it? NINE days between posts?? I hope to see you posting more often; I know life gets busy!
      How's Mark and the kids?
Oh, and I'm reading a biography of Charles Schultz. It brought back memories of just how much I was like Charlie Brown as a kid. Maybe even more than Napoleon Dynamite!
    18. Jacob'sDad
I almost posted a link to my high school graduation picture but it's too scary. I don't think it really looks that much like Napoleon Dynamite anyway (Tammy says it does) but a couple of years earlier the resemblance was closer, but I can't find any pictures.;)

My favorite part of the movie is:

      Deb: What are you drawing?

      Napoleon: A liger.

      Deb: What's a liger?

Napoleon: It's pretty much my favorite animal. It's like a lion and a tiger mixed... bred for its skills in magic.

Of course everybody knows he's actually drawing a manticore and not a liger.

Anyway I'm glad you saw it. Now you have to see "Army of Darkness".;)
I hope you and your family has a great and healthy 2009! Say Hi to Mark for me.

Thank you for the well wishes! I appreciate them! I am the same way - I really have stepped back from posting on advice in the main forum, but I do enjoy the to stuff sometimes! I read a few times a day - but am just to tired (does that even make sense?) to answer all the questions! And other parents do such a good job - I don't even feel like my advice is missed! My dad- he is doing bleh...feels miserable, very depressed, not himself at all - not that I can blame him - but I do hope he starts feeling like himself again soon!

How are the kids? The hubby - is he still being a - well, ok, I won't type that! Miss your humor! Good to hear from you again!
