Glad your friends are safe Janet. Our pastor and his family are stranded in Misawa. They went there for either a revival or a missions conference when the earthquake struck. They can't drive down because there's no gas. They are blessed to have a generator where they're at but we would all feel relieved if they could get back to Tokyo. My husband's trying to fly out this weekend. Those who have stayed behind thinking things will be fine are finally starting to leave. Even our Japanese friends are moving farther south or at least sending their children there. This is so surreal but things could be worse so we are still very thankful. But so many people have lost loved ones.
Thank you for the prayers... we are fine but decided to jump ship tomorrow. Hubby's staying...can't wait for this to be over. The news in the U.S. is more about the nuclear reactor but actually the more imminent danger for Tokyo is another big earthquake.
I just wanted to pop over and say hi! I always forget to check my messages here and just got yours. Sorry! Thanks for your sweet note. : )
Thanks for the messages. It's good to know there are others out there to talk to. I had a girfriend call the other day and ask if we had everything figured out yet. Others really don't understand, but that's ok. Thanks, too, for letting me know about the kid's board. My son might enjoy talking with some other children that are battling the same thing. I think he might feel separated as well. As far as starting a new thread...up until the other day I would have thought that had something to do with sewing. I am still having trouble reading messages and figuring out how to work this thing. I can't even turn on my tv. Hope you all have a good day with no lows, and no sugar loopies. Talk to you later.
Just wanted you to know you're not alone... and neither is your son. My son is the same age and just joined the kids board on this forum. Maybe your son would enjoy that too.
Hi "stagemom"! Just wanted to drop in to say hello and we are all here to support you.I just saw your post. Why don't you start a new thread and so many others will see it and chime in to give you much needed support. Best wishes...Kathy
