We're not close and have limited resources, but if there's anything we can do to help on your conference idea let us know (we can add the intention to the prayer group list!). I'm Catholic, by the way, and not in the least bit threatened by a Bible Christian approach to a diabetes retreat, I think it's a great idea.

Hi. I posted a comment on your blog about how to treat lows. Not sure how often you check there.
      Blessings!

I saw your post about the loneliness. The first year is the worst that way. Wish you were in my area so I could invite you to a local meet up.
Would you like to talk on the phone sometime in the next couple weeks?

(I dont know if you know this but if your blood sugar is always high when your older you can have serious problems when your older like becoming blind.) All you have to do is keep your Blood sugar in the range a non-diabetic's blood sugar would be (about 80-120) and you won't have to worry about having any problems. The CGMs has certainly helped me. I absolutely reccomend the CGM. I use the Minimed one, but there are many more out there that you can try. As i have said before in many of my other posts, different things work for different people.Im not sure about if the novocaim, because i have never had to use it. But i also know that your blood sugar can go high if you are excited, anxious, worried, or scared. That happened to me before when i was singing at a Flyers game. I also do know that some foods or medicines can make my blood sugar shoot up and go really high. It could be for either reason.

      Pianoplayer4,

I like the CGM and the omnipod alot! The things i like about it is that its waterproof, the reciever has a built-in blood testing meter, there are no tubes or wires, and it has an automatic insertion. (Im glad i dont have to push the neddle in myself!)

The Minimed CGM is also very helpful. It helped me keep my A1C around 5.3-5.4??? Anyway, CGMs can be accurate, but if you only calibrate it at certain times and follow a couple of rules. If your interested i can show you a post here about calibrating CGMs. Many people wait a while before trying anything new, but the sooner you get pumps and CGMs the sooner you can get your Blood Sugar under control and the less problems you will have when your older.
