Hey, have a great trip! Neat that you'll be getting close to The Great White North. My rule for car trips like that is to give extra insulin on car days and reduce below normal on exercise days. Hope you have a great time..

Thanks for the words of enouragement. Althought I just signed up recently we've actually been at it for just over a year. We're going on the pump in a few weeks and in my recent online research I found this to be a good forum and decide to sign up.

We've had very good control up until the past month, when we've been battling highs. It started with strep throat and we put it down to that, and the antibiotics which lasted 10days. But the highs continued after that so it appears that the honeymoon period may be ending.

We've been making adjustments to his insulin but it's been very erratic so we've been cautiosly increasing. Just when you think you know what you're doing it makes you feel like a fool :o

We're mostly in a good range again but we're still getting more unexplained highs and lows then we were used to.

Fran we hibernate inside till it gets warmer! I am getting cabin fever today! I need sunshine and warm weather! Or at least my diet Pepsi! I have to have some vices!

No vacation plans here. We're just going to grammy's this summer, its free, food is great, and has access to pools.
Wow that's a great a1c. Ours was 8.6 last week. I'm sure it would have been much less if not for that prednisone at christmas.
How do you dress for -40, is it normally that cold?

I'm ok. Had sewer problems last week, almost fixed, found reputable plumber thats resonable.
I'm so easily distracted. have to clean up basement, etc xmas stuff. finally got tree down. I think I was the last person to get tree down.
I hope your ok-jan can be depressing month. It was so cold this morning-i'll bet its nothing like wisconson cold. i'm such a wimp when it comes to cold.
