Thank you so much for contacting me! I don't understand the one year waiting period either. Our endo has been wonderful though and honest. He told us he really wants us to understand how to manage it with the shots first before going on the pump. I just feel that with the way we live the pump is the only way we'll get to a better sense of normalcy. And the only way Jillian can be in daycare. She wants to be on it before our cruise and her birthday.
I feel like we still have so much to learn though. We had family visit us this weekend and we went out to eat at a restaurant for the first time. And that went fantastic - but then later in the day it turned into a struggle to get her dinner in time as our visitors wanted to see the sights of the city and didn't understand that we needed to get dinner in her and didn't have time to dawdle. All these things we took for granted before.
How old is Madison? Was it hard to figure out the carbs on the cruise?

Hi, wow kind of a small world. I used to live in Vancouver when I was about 3 years old. I don't remember it at all, but I guess the highlight was the big tornado that touched down there. It apparently took the toys out of our backyard:).

As for Wild Waves/Enchanted Village - The food is very expensive there, but many locals just pack a cooler and head out to the cars at lunch time for a picnic. There is a large lake/pond in the middle of the park - go to the side that has the 'gum ball machines' with fish food and put a few quarters in them to get the food and feed the fish over the railing. You'll be amazed at the sheer quantity of the fat fish. The Timberhawk roller coaster is great, the mouse trap ride hurts/bruises. The water park side of it is nice, but expect the lines to be long when it's hot out. The lazy river is great, and the wave pool is fun. You'll have a great time - we usually don't try to do it all in one day because we have season tickets and live about 4 minutes from the park but it can be done. There is a great amount of shady areas in and around the dry rides. There are rental lockers to keep supplies if needed. Have a GREAT time.

Hello!! I wasn't aware that we are somewhat neighbors.....well not really but we are south of you in Vancouver, WA. Can you give me any inside tips to the water park in your area? We are heading there this Sunday!
