      To all Georgians:

Georgia HB 879 - Diabetes Care in School - is on Governor Deal's desk awaiting his signature.

Please call his office 404-656-1776 and ask him to sign HB 879 into law. Or email his office at:

I posted some information from Michelle(JDRF). Maybe you can see the people she sees at that office. She sees Anderson or Tammy. She said she gets 900 per 90 days.
You might want to give her a call.
I couldn't 'do it' on 800 strips per 90 days. We use too many.

Johanna, You go to my endo group? Which doc told you not to test at night? We have never been told that. We 'used' to test about 8-10 a day.

      Hi,
We go to Dr. Hansen's group too! We see either Maureen or Dr.Hansen. We have been there 7 years. We really love them too!

      Hi Johanna,
Melissa will be 10 on July 24th so she is real close in age to your daughter. We live just south of the airport in Fayetteville.
She is not interested in Camp Kudzu yet. She went to a non-d church camp last week. In two weeks she will go to Camp Ivy, a Diabetes Day Camp, in Hampton, GA near the Atlanta Motor Sppedway. The lady that runs the camp has been T1 for 59 years. SHe invites siblings to attend. Two of her sisters (8 and 5) will go too.

A teen boy at our church went to Kudzu last year (1 yr ox dx) and liked it. I will probably encourage her to go in the future. Summer is so short that it is hard to fit everything in. They also have family camps at Kudzu. Maybe we will try that sometime.

We go to Dr Hansen's group at Emory Children's Clinic and see Megan Consedine-CNP. Melissa loves them.
