I have a 14 yr old daughter who over the past couple of months seems to have increased anxiety about avoiding lows. She has had lows over the past 2 yrs since dx, as everyone does, and she treats them (often over treats them)
and then we move on. Her target BS is 125. Range is 80-150. She feels uncomfortable if she is under 100, and has started not taking full BS corrections, and does not always take for full carbs. She is ending up mostly in the high 100's to mid 200's. Her last A1C was 8.3. This started when she began HS and wants to avoid a low at school at all costs, she feels this would be very embarrassing. This is creating conflict and frustration
Has anyone elses child done this. Our endo's office said they have problems with teens not checking, she checks 10 plus times per day.
