Thanks for your sweet message. Our situation was one of those worse case scenarios...I can still hear the PICU dr's cautionary words as she described what we were facing with Mary Kathryn, (before everything went wrong) and me thinking to myself, "Why are you trying to scare me so?" Because I knew, with my limited knowledge that T1 is a survivable dx...and in most cases, that knowledge is correct...just not in our case. I don't want there to be other cases like ours, EVER. So, I hang around here to learn (for my other kids) and hope against hope that this disease won't be visited on them...but not foolish enough to think that it couldn't happen again in our family. Most of the time that I spend on this site is good, then others, like yesterday...I should probably remain quiet. Thanks again for your kind words.

Thanks! We actually used to live in Montrose. Actually at Pea Green Corner outside of Olathe. We love the area and hope to move back in the future. It is nice to see that we aren't the only ones in this lonely corner of the state!
