Hi Bryani, just so you know to whom you are requesting friends, I am the father of Ellie-Mae she is 6 years old with type 1 for 2 1/2 years and pumping for 1. I am sorry to read that you have had many complications I pray you now have diabetes under a little control. When Ellie-Mae was first diagnosed all the horrors and chills went through my body, little did I realize how very very difficult it was going to be. I read and read, studied and studied, now she is doing ok-ish but still highs and lows they seem to come from no where. I used to live on children with diabetes forum but not so much lately, it was a great help just reading that other people were going through similar problems. I tried to post once for a trial for foods and how they reacted on BG's but didn't get a good response, I still believe today that if we knew what combo bolus to put into pump for different foods, BG's could hold steadier.

Thanks for the message--I grew up in New Jersey--Moorestown. We now live in California and my kids are both teens and babysit themselves. Good luck--you might want to contact your local JDRF office--I'm sure there are plenty of moms who would love to have your information.

i know how hard it can be to leave your children unattended especially when they have diabetes because i used to be that kid that everyone worried about. my family was always scared to leave me alone but now i have come to grow very mature and i am trusted by everyone all i need now is for someone out there to trust me and allow me to help them. i am great with children and have babysat plenty of times and not my family members.
