I can't tell you how exhausted I've been and how stressful everything in life has become since I've found myself chasing her numbers more an more. I'm scared to say definitively that you were right but -- well, you've got to have been right. Totally different days the last couple, huge difference. You've taken a big load off and I'm sure she'll feel much better without all the craziness. Thanks so much.

Silly aside, but I just read a book that had some speculation about diabetes. One idea is that higher bg levels gave people in ice age type conditions an advantage because it lowered the freezing point for the blood.
Totally out there speculative, but it made me wonder about bg numbers in the winter.

I was wondering if you'd seen this: http://www.tudiabetes.org/events/young-and-type-1
I've been twice. Despite the word "young", I've been the youngest person there. There were four other people at the last meeting; two diabetic women (both about thirty) and their nondiabetic husbands.

The avatar of your son looks a bit like a young Haley Joel Osment... handsome young man you have there!
Brenda... if you ever need a d-knowledgeable babysitter who also happens to be an EMT and a nursing student, PM me... I'm in Lindenhurst, IL.

So is it a go for the 19th of October or the 28th of September? I'm online, you're online- are there any details we need to work out?

Hi, I live in Chicago and am interested in meeting people and families with diabetes. If you would be willing to meet up with me on a Sunday or on Memorial day, let me know when. I would be coming into Libertyville by Metra.
