Monogenic diabetes
A reminder for those of you - adults of any age - who were diagnosed at or before a year of age: There is cutting edge research going on re: monogenic diabetes at the University of Chicago by highly respected scientists. Testing is done on saliva samples. Adults and older kids just spit into what looks like an over-sized contact lens case; for younger kids, the inside of the cheek is wiped with a cotton swab. Testing is completey free and postage is paid both ways.
