inadvertantly left test strips out of container

I accidentally dropped about 20 test strips out on the table after doing a blood check. I didn't see it happen, and they were sitting out for a while. They're accucheck aviva ones. They're clean, and unused, but I probably have to throw them out, don't I? The strip manufacturers suggest throwing them away if they're out of the container for more than 15 minutes.

Thats a shame that you have to throw them away. Trey has dropped them before but I notice before any time passed.

I'd calibrate them, label them as expired, and save them for experiments -- how much glucose in used motor oil? Cat food? Baby barf?

Being the thrift I am, I hate to toss anyhting...think the pharmacy would swap them for you ?
