Ever have one of those things happen that at the moment truly seem like a pain in the bu** only to find out later there was a reason.....
Last night our phone rang at 3:42 am. Since I was already awake I decided to get up at check Aidan, DH said that he checked him only about an hour b/f and he was 346, he said that he corrected, cutting the bolus in half as we always do, (Aidan is very sensitive to insulin at night). Still that Mothers intution was nagging at me. I checked him anyway.....89.....with 1.5 units still active. Good thing because when I woke him for a snack he said that he was REALLY shaking and could tell he was "falling fast". I know that he was could see it in his eyes.
IF that phone hadn't rang I wouldn't have woke up or tested him.....funny how those things happen huh?
