Pumping since Monday..going great!!

Sam got hooked up Monday (minimed 522, using quick set inserters), and we are loving it! She had one low Monday night, ran a bit high on Tuesday night and thanks to you guys, I got advice at midnight..whick REALLY reassured me! The last 2 nights we have seen great #'s, we did a site change yesterday..had to refer to the book, but we did do it..no problems.

We also appreciate the advice for where to put the pump..it worked well for Sam to wear a sports bra with the pump in the front to bed, and I bought cute little baby socks to put the pump in when its not in the case. Sam did find out that you can't wear flannel sleep pants and sleep on flannel sheets, you can't move!!
Don't worry, I KNOW that there will be problems..bad sites, high #'s, frustation, but I am grateful for a good start!!

Cool. Using temp basal to help with near lows is a good first pump tool to play with.

Glad things are going so well.. everyone has issues with the pumps, like you said, bad sites, high numbers and who knows what else.. but its nice to see that you are seeing the benefits and it hasn't been that hard.. thats how it was for us.. first few weeks were awesome, and then we had some issues.. I'm thankful that the first few weeks were great because when we were having issues I knew how good things could be so I wanted to get through that stuff that is just plain ol' crazy.. if you start off 'crazy' I think its harder to 'see the light at the end fo the tunnel'..

We just started too. Glad to hear it's going great! I'm also glad to hear that you get such good advice from the folks here. I'm sure we will be requiring their advice in the coming days and it's good to know that the people here are so willing to help.
