As I was getting the boys' bath ready tonight, I added in my favorite skin care "treatment" of Aveeno colidal oatmeal baby bath and started wondering what everyone here does to help their children's poked and prodded skin? I'm not certain the oatmeal does a lot, but it doesn't hurt and it does seem to help...

Any tips you'd like to share?

I like Glysomed on his fingers. But otherwise Ian won't let me put anything on him.

I'm known as the moisturizer stalker!:D I load up Cameron's fingers after his mid-night check and that seems to be working.

We also only use Dove Soap for sensitive skin in the shower.

We use aquaphor. But my son has a skin condition that requires it on all of his body. It's sort of like vaseline, but it doesn't leave a yellow tint like vaseline.

We use bag balm at night on handls, knees, elbows. She now has excema.
During the normaly day she moisturizes with Renew from Melaleuca. It was the only lotion that we found that 1. Did not give me a headache from the smell
2. Worked on her skin if we forgot to lotion

Her skin before diabetes she would bleed all over her hands and knuckles until we started using the Renew. Now with the Excema the bag balm was just the extra we needed.

We use Sween Cream. Ellen (on this board) suggested it. It's great stuff!:cwds:

I third that! I put it on Abby's hands after I do the 10-11pm check. This way, I can really work it in and she doesn't wipe any of it off!

aquafor is sold over the counter with the other lotions. :)

I will use it deep into the winter when my hands are cracked. But for me I really love love love Netrogena norwegian lotion for my hands.
