I changed it.. and pump site at the same time... it was my first one doing it by myself while trying to show dh.. Everything went well at first but then I got a weak signal. .and then a lost sensor.. so I started all over, got the same thing, call MM and she said I had to go to 'find lost sensor' and hopefully that'll work.. I still have 10m of the 15minutes it may take to find the lost sensor.. any tips? we are going back to the dr. tomorrow for a follow up... I'd like to have the sensor up and running LOL.. it may be a very long night!
woo hoo just checked, it found it:) I'm hoping this one works as well as the other one:)

If it happens again try disconnecting and sticking it on the charger to reset it. Make sure the green light flashes when you reconnect it.

I just got another weak signal.. I took the gauze out from underneith it.. does it usually find it if it gets aweek signal, or will it go to lost sensor automatically? I put IV3000 over it and took the bandaid and gauze out.. I really don't want to waste this sensor by taking it out..
edited to add that the signal is back.. hopefully it was the guaze interfering and nothing is wrong with it..

Don't take it out yet :D Where is the pump in relationship to the transmitter? Did you recharge the transmitter? Sometimes I find that I need to "reset" it when I have had this happen in the past. Are you 100% sure that the transmitter flashed when you hooked it up?

her pump site is on her arm. and the sensor is in her bum cheek.. I'm 100% it flashed, the first time.. but forgot to look for it the second time.. if it does it again I'll unhook it but it back on the charger for a few minutes and then make sure the light blinks.. i want to do everything I can do save the sensor.. :)

Is the pump itself on the same side of the body as the transmitter?

yes, they are on the same side.. I just got another week signal, so I took the transmitter off its now on the charger, blinking away.. I had it on there for most of the day because I disconnected her around 10am.. could it not be charge completely?
hmm.. when I hooked it up to the charger the red light came on very briefly with the green light, quickly went away and hasn't come on again.. Not sure I've ever seen that before..

Don't panic! I have had this happen a couple of times. For some reason the transmitter is not connecting to the sensor. You can try a couple of things
1. Remove the transmitter and check the connection points to make sure there isn't anything, even a bit of lint, blocking the connections.
2. Leave it on the charger for 1/2 hour and try again.

what about that red light on the charger it comes on when I plug it in.. if flashes on and goes off.. doesn't come on again.. its hooked up to the charger..again.. is the sensor ok sitting there.. hanging on her bum with no protection?

You shouldn't get a red light. Try changing the battery in the charger. You should only get a green light on the charger.

just got off the phone with MM.. she said if it flashes on its OK, as long as it doesn't stay on.. the green flashes on tooo.. and continues to flash and the red one just does a quick bling and is off..I did change the battery, just in case..(I should buy stock in energizer batteries..) she said to wait a little longer and then try it again.. if it doesn't work this next time she said I should pull it because it probably won't work.. its already 11:30pm here.. she has an appointment tomorrow, I don't think I have time to do it tomorrow so I"m going to have to stay up tonight and do it..
thisis what I get for having such a good first 9days..
do you think I can put emla on her near that spot now, so that in a bit if its not working I can get the new on right in and not have to wait for the emla? I want to give her other side a break so I want to do it on the side..

I would give it until midnight and try again. Strange about the red light flashing, I haven't seen that with our charger.

I pulled the sensor.. I tried it and got no green flashing light. I put emla on her... I can do a site change in the middle ofthe night, but not sure I can do this.. I'm going to be SOOO PO'd if I waste another $35! the sensor looked ok when I pulled it out, but then again I have no idea what it should or shouldn't look like lol.. I just know it wasn't kinked..
I just pulled the site because as of right now I can't do the first two hour cal until 2:30am.. I needed to get the emla going.. I would do a site change without it but not the sensor.. any tips on getting this one right LOL..

OK, new sensor is in.. got the green lights, I have normal symbol on the pump.. so I'm hoping its good togo.. calibration is at 2:30am.. yawn!! but its worth if it works this time... It was actually easy to insert while she was sleeping.. she layed perfectly still and my oldest wasn't right there trying to figure out what I was going.. the inserter isn't the easiest thing to use.. you'd think it would be much more sensitive to the push of the button.. making sure everything is at the right angle.. instead of 1:30 the sensor ending its now going to be ended at 2:30am!
Thanks for all your help, Nicole.. I'd be a mess without you:)

I only wish I had been more help Kim :o I do admit that I always do the sensor insertion while Hailey is sleeping, it just plain makes things easier on both of us. I figure I would be getting up at 3 am anyway so might was well just get up and do a calibration. I usually do the 2nd calibration when I get up at 5:30 instead of waiting for it to ask for a calibration and then I have Hailey do another at 11 am so we can get on track. One little tip on the sesor end, when you get to day 3 just start new sensor whenever you want, you don't have to wait for it to end.
