Okay...supper time, she seemed to have been holding pretty steady for the afternoon...right now Dexity (her name for it so far) says 157...since she's going to eat and this is new...BG check... BG 60.
so...what does this mean? or is it too early to tell?

Are there any arrows? Is this a new sensor? When was your last calibration? Did you calibrate at a steady bg?
If she is dropping quickly you can easily get that far off. If you calibrate when her bg is rising/falling the sensor can get that far off.

I didn't think she was dropping or rising quickly. She's been hovering around the 150's most of the afternoon. We calibrated around 3pm for the first time. Sensor was inserted around 1ish or so.
And when we calibrated, just for the heck of it, we checked the one touch against our pump meter/cozmonitor and it was the same or maybe just a point or two off. But obviously, she was dropping pretty fast if she went down to 60.
Just checked BG history on pump, 4:30pm Bg 133 (this is about 2 hours after initial calibration, becaseu it's 2 hours after the last Bg check before she ate lunch.) then by 7pm she is down to 60. The times in between it was going up, which i didn't think was odd, because i just figured the food was hitting .
So we thought we were good to go.
But then this low on the meter when the Dex says 100 points different totally throws us off.
We decided to recalibrate ,but so far it's still not liking it. It keeps telling us to give it more blood.
So we do another poke and download.
Just checked, 15 minutes after yet another download and there is still the blood drop in the window so i guess that means it's needing more blood?

I've only been at this for a week.. but I've had Kaylee in the 100s with her saying she feels low and she'll be in the 60s.. then the sensor catches up and I get two arrows down with her already being corrected.. I'm assuming you are using the dexicom (is that how its spelt?) from the name your daughter gave it:) .. I don't know anything about that CGM.. when I calibrate I put it right into K's pump and it does it on its own.. I just plug in the number..
theres got to be someone else here that uses the same system.. hope they can help you more than I can:)

Hmmm, I don't know anything about the Dexcom but I know there are a couple of parents here that use it. I am sure they will chime in when they check in :D

and keeps demanding more "vampyr bites", it means one of two things:
the number you're providing is so "whacked" in comparison to the historical curve, that it refuses to believe it; or
the Sensor has died suddenly and catastrophically.
The correct response, if you think that the Sensor still has some life left, is to do a full restart with the two-hour warm up. (Since the time hasn't expired, you have to kill the session via command.) But give it only ONE chance to come back to reality-- if it doesn't accept the double poke at the end of two hours, throw it away.
