Ok, so our luck has changed again. From about 11am til now the sensor has been restarting itself and continues to be in START mode again. My local rep is coming any minute with a transmitter that she KNOWS works. We will test that one for the next 24 hours to see what is going on.

That's too bad. I was really hoping your troubles were over. :( At least now with a new transmitter you should get some answers.

I hate to even write this ... but when we got our new transmitter earlier this fall, we tried it on the sensor that was currently going and it did another blasted re-start within 5 hours. (I was doing my own mini-experiment to see if it was the sensor or the transmitter).

So, I put in a new sensor with the new transmitter - and it has been working really well. (Just one re-start on a Day 9, so hard to complain).

All this to say ... it may be worth it to try the new transmitter with the sensor you have going, and it may well work. But if it re-starts, don't panic ... just try a fresh sensor with the new transmitter. Hopefully that will work!
