Hi everyone, I'm new here but I just wanted to tell everyone about the school I just found for my 4 year old. To make a long story short, I had to do a little training for them but they've taken the reigns for her D care during the day when I can't be with her. I'm a full time working, single mom and these ladies... I'm sorry, I misspoke... these angels, make it possible for me to go to work every day and not worry so much about Gracie. They check her blood, count her carbs, give her shots, call me with questions or concerns. My biggest nightmare when Grace was first dx'd this year was "what am I going to do about daycare?" As far as I know, there is no list of "diabetes certified childcare centers" anywhere and the Diabetes Center here was no help. I just wanted to put it out there that anyone living anywhere around Lyman, Maine that Briarwood Children's House Montessouri school is more than willing and now very capable of caring for your T1 little one. They do a phenominal job with Grace and next week, they will be teaming up with Grace and I to get her started on her new Omnipod. Thank you everyone at Briarwood:)
