I'm SO HAPPY WITH IT.. Just to be able to see what she is doing is AMAZING! I saw the morning spike after her breakfast, and now she's coming down.. I saw what a 1/2c of milk did to her at 5:30am (made her spike like crazy!) its amazing to see the insulin actually going to work.. it hasn't even been a full 24hours yet and I don't think I could do without this technology now:D I can't wait to get a few more days of information and be able to change things and help that A1c!:)

just wanted to share!

I agree. You have no idea what it will really be like until you try it. :)

It is so neat to hear that! I am hoping that we can get one, someday :( but it is great to hear how awesome it is. Thanks for sharing!

It sounds amazing. I am in the waiting process right now - waiting for insurance info - which I've been told is going to be approved - just finalizing the red tape. I can't wait to get control and learn - what everything does to my son. Keep us posted - It helps to follow in everyone else's footsteps.

I hear that, Lee. I want one so badly I can taste it. I would like to wait for the Navigator, but waiting for it is starting to feel more and more like waiting for a watched pot to boil.

Isn't it awsome! It has given Hailey so much more freedom!

That's awesome news! I hope to be following in your footsteps soon.
If you don't mind me asking, how has Kaylee done with it? Insertion, tolerating it, sleeping, and so forth?

the first insertion wasn't a pleasant one.. but she wasn't feeling well.. she was high, had high ketones, being in the dr. office.. all that stuff added to it.. I DID have EMLA on her and she didn't even feel it.. but it was just the anticipation.. I haven't let her see the needle yet, and don't plan on it:) I keep asking her if it bothers her.. nope, not at all.. I asked today if she felt it yesterday and she said no.. not a thing:) I think it was just that she was so worked up.. she was excited to get it.. and likes it now.. I've checked her 1 time so far today, that was to calibrate it.. DH checked her at 5:30am.. when he normally would.. its been so nice to give her tiny fingers a break right now she's sitting at 180 after spiking to 266 after breakfast.. I love seeing the little trends.. Kaylee is the first one out of the entire endo's office to get this.. there aren't even older kids that have it.. I'm hoping I can help out some of the other kids by convincing her dr. that it IS a good thing.. that she did do the right thing by letting Kaylee have it:) I can't wait till her basals are set right (they seem to be OK.. but I know they need fine tuning:)

right now the sensor is on her bum.. it'll probably be there for a little bit.. until we get use to everything, and until she grows a bigger arm..I can't see it going on her belly.. she sleeps on her belly anyway, so having it on the bum is working well.. she doesn't even notice it really.. hasn't had one complaint (other than being very angry the cde had to hold her down to do the insertion.. poor thing.. but I brought her to the mall afterwards.. )
