Kaylee gets hooked up to the minilink tomorrow.. she's so excited.. she knows she's getting a new site and she'll have something else attached to her.. its another 'shot'.. she hasn't seen the needle, and I don't plan on showing it to her either.. I'm glad she's looking forward to this.. Although I'm afraid she's going to be dissappointed that its not THAT exciting (ok, for me it is... but not sure it will be for her LOL..) We leave here at 8:30am, drop big sis, Jaylin, off at school and head to her appointment.. :D

any last minute things I should know? remember to take with me? the transmiter is all charged and I"m bringing two sensors.. any idea on how to keep em' cold.. will a frio bag work?

You don't need to keep them cold anymore :D We did put ours in a frio when we go to the endo because it is so far away and it worked great! Make sure you take tape and wipes just in case the endo's office doesn't have them.

Goood luck :D Once you get over the begining both you and Kaylee will LOVE IT!

one thing I wanted to ask you is (well,ok.. two things ;) ) I asked about adhesive and she said they use a bandaid to hold down the transmitter?? I can NOT see that working.. I'm sure they are only keeping it in for 3 days.. but even 3 days on a 4 year old help by a bandaid is NOT going to work (this is the pump rep.. her daughter has the minilink...) I do have IV3000 that we are bringing.. also, she said NOT to use her arm?????? I don't know why.. so tomorrow it'll be her bum.. her site is in her arm right now.. I can move it to her bum tomorrow am, but its not scheduled to be moved until tuesday.. is this ok? once training is done and we are confident in how it works and what we are doing.. we'll be trying out the arm. and definitely using the sensor longer than 3 days.. I'm hoping for 10.. but I don't want to jinx myself LOL..

I have heard of a few people using a bandaide but I have no clue how in the world they would get it to stay on :o plus you are not going to get the sensor to stay stable enough to keep it in even 3 days? I wouldn't trust that.

I hear do not use the arm ALL of the time but after I have researched and shown the reps most of them say "oh wow, that is great" I think minimed has only researched thier "approved" areas and gets nervous when anyone wants to use an area that they have not "approved". All I know is we could NOT get the sensor to work on her bottom, belly, or hips and the arm has been AWSOME :D

GOOD LUCK TODAY KAYLEE!!!! YOU WILL DO GREAT :D
