Carl has text me approximately 6 times and phoned 3! Talk about kids being clingy!
He is obviously needing reassurance that he is doing a good job at being the D nurse. (Even though he has taken our D bible with him to check up on things he is not sure of!)
Maybe he is realising that I am NOT just a 'stunning' blonde who sits around all day but a 'stunning' blonde that holds the house and family together!
By the way, Tyler is doing great. Only problem is it is a vegetarian camp which Tyler finds horrifying (no offence to the vegetarians out there.) As much as Tyler loves veggies and fruit he also loves his meat. They are having a lot of pasta which we are discovering causes probs for Tyler. (He starts going low a couple of hours after.)
But I had a good nights sleep!

I love it! It sounds as though your husband may have a new found appreciation for you after this week! Enjoy your break!

What a nice break for you! I hope your enjoying it! :)

Pasta is havoc for us! I would suggest cutting your carb count in half to start! We went from 49 carbs in a cup of Mac & Cheese and were still trying and were down to 25 carbs for a cup- still going low in 2 hours.

I hope you and your other kid are having a blast carbing out...and letting hubby enjoy being the main D provider!

One cup of pasta is supposedly all his carb portions for the meal but we actually give him more, knowing that he will drop. He doesn't go low but his BG drops quite a bit. eg: 13.9 before pasta (bit higher than he is supposed to be) then at the bedtime snack he is down to 5 or so.
Now if we are having pasta we just give him his bed time snack earlier and it seems to keep him going okay.
Bloody Diabetes!
And yes, I am intending on enjoying my week of being D free. (Although at 1am our cat decided to invite a friend in the cat flap and run around the house, obviously planning a party!)
I don't know - if it's not Carl snoring up a storm it's the damn cat!
And the chocolate last night was SOOOOO good!
