We are hooked to a CGMS!!

Today we had our CGM training and it went better than I expected. Hannah had a lot of "nervous energy" during the training, but when it came time to actually do it, she did really well. She is now hooked up, and in 1 hour we can do our first calibration! I am so excited and really hope we get some good information from this, so we can really bring down her A1C.
Any have any good tips for us as we are "newbies" to this?

Our endo is recommending that we put Stevie on a CGMS because of her
crazy BG numbers lately, so I'll be interested to hear how it works out for
you.

Just remember the 15 minute delay and read the threads in the CGMS forum. Once you get over the learning curve, the information that you gather and the lows/highs that you prevent are soooooooooo worth the effort you put into the system :D

Yeah - a big thing is to wait atleast 15 minutes - so people wait a few hours after insertion to let the fluids get into the sensor before begining the calibration process.
