We have been switching (cheeks) every 2 days. I would like to try a different area and give his bum a rest. I was thinking about his tummy but I am not sure where it would go. Any suggestions? We use the Sure-T sets.

We used to use Court's tummy all the time but now that she wears the sensor we have to put the sets on her rear. She is very lean so we had to use her area right around her belly button on either sides. You are supposed to stay 2 inches from the B button though.
If your child has a little more to pinch you can use the area closer to the sides (love handles) too

We use tummy -- we go clear out to the sides, too, almost on the hip. We also use rear. Left butt, right butt, left tummy, right tummy -- that's the rotation ;)

We use Sure-t's as well and use the tummy. we rotate kind of in a circle fashion so can actually get 4 sites easily out of the tummy--left and right upper, left and right lower. We also rotate to upper butt, outer hip, upper arms, thighs.

Hi, were not pumpers but I just wanted to give you a heads up...The absorbtion on the tummy is faster than the bootie, so just keep an eye out. T:confused:he insulin may react quicker causing lows? I'm not sure..
We are currently giving his bottom a rest too! ;) His tummy is very lean, but it has worked there, we have also surprisingly, found that his thighs work really well! Good luck!

Tum and Bum here. We only use the tummy when he is up and standing, and mostly the bottom when we have to do a middle of the night site change (less resistance).
Thighs didnt work for us. He would scream in pain when bolusing. His legs are pretty lean.
I think if you can try the tummy once or twice you'll find that the fear will be overcome pretty quickly.

Thanks for the advise. We tried the tummy. It lasted 2 days with bandaids and iv hand stickers. I liked the ease of him not snagging it on his underpants everytime he went to the bathroom and it went in really easy, we just couldn't keep it on:(.

Have you tried Skin Tac for adhering to the skin better? Try a fee sample at www.torbot.com (I suggest the liquid you apply with the q-tip- wipes get your hands VERY sticky!!).
