View Full Version : Does Anyone Live Near Blackpool
Hi there
My son Anthony, 15 year, was diagnosed type 1 in December 2006 and it's like living in a nightmare.
Is there any parents or teenagers living in the Blackpool or surrounding area that would like to meet up.

Hi Lyn, I'm so sorry to hear how difficult things are for you right now. My son is 12 and dxd with type 1 over 4 years ago. We are in South Yorks now but previously in NW London we didn't really meet any other kids with diabetes. Could the specialist nurse help you? The other thing was,
for the first time Louis attended a diabetes uk holiday which was not too far from you in Giggleswick near settle, that went really well. I have also started using a forum called diabetes daily, put a post on there as well. l hope things improve for you,

Hi Lyn, just a thought. Are you a member of the CWD uk mailing list? If you look down the posts Jackie give instructions on how to join. If you then e mailed that list there may be someone who lives near your.
