glutened ?

My daughter has had celiac since feb and all has been going well up until about a month ago. Before Dx her only symptom was wacky BG numbers now it seems they are back. Her numbers have been fluxuating from 15 at snack to 2 at lunch then back into the 20's for her next snack. I don't think I'm giving her gluten but there is still a small chance she could have gotten a bit from "transfer" since it is only her on the diet.

I am not sure how old your daughter is, but she may be having a growth spurt. My dd was diagnosed in Sept.

With diabetes sometimes there is no explanation for wacky numbers......:rolleyes:

I have to say that I kind of thought growth spurt too. Westin didn't have any symptoms at diagnosis of Celiac, other than like you said wacky numbers at times. After a while of being gluten free he now reacts to gluten (if in large quantity) with diareah (sp?) for a few days. But we have also dealt with growth spurts.

When Westin had wacky numbers before diagnosis it was more like he wasn't absorbing his carbs correctly and that would send him low.
