... 140 bg at pre-school on the very day when you've just added .05 to the 4 previous hours of basal in an attempt to beat a 3-day wave of afternoon highs.
Ok, perhaps the above is too long for a 1970's Snoopy poster  ... but how about a "Happiness is ... " thread celebrating some little - but important - successes, D or non-D?

#1 Going to a parent/teacher conference at the HS the other night and finding out that even though there's still some room for improvement, all the teachers for both our boys wish they had a whole class room of kids like ours boys. They have a sense of humor, get along great with other kids ...I could keep on bragging but you get the point but it's the kind of stuff I like to hear about our boys.
#2 Sharon just got promoted to an office job along with a substantial raise. Her employer knows she's going back to school for something better and I think this is their way of trying to keep her.
#3 And oh yes I found out today that I'm getting a raise as well.
I can't explain it but every time it seems life is kicking our teeth in, something good happens when we least expect it.

Being told I have the most polite children. A waitress told me this last night. She said "WELL DONE MOM".. Its the little things!
Good going on that 140 # @ school. We are still working on after breakfast @ school. Very tough time of day.

Happiness is...after networking and combing employment ads for 2 years, finding a 2nd flexible part-time job to help pay for college. "Patience is bitter, but it bears sweet fruit."

Watching my handsome little non-D son sitting on the couch eating a cookie without any guilt because Emma's already gone to bed.

A. Being told by the boys teachers that they wish all children in their classes were so responsible and polite. (Still waiting to see the evidence of this behaviour at home!)
B. Being told by the endo that we should pat ourselves on the back for a successful first year and that Tyler is lucky to have us as parents.
C. Knowing that my family loves me, warts and all.
D. After the boys are in bed, cuddling up to Carl (hubby) and, laughing, talking and just 'being'.

Happiness is...
1) Watching Trevor write his letters and learn to read without a problem
2) Watching Daniel (1) climb ontop of a diaper box and start making car noises.
3) Seeing how happy my hubby and Trevor are when they come back from riding quads, and seeing Trevor "glow" because he kept up with daddy.

Driving to work listening to DD sing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" for 10 minutes straight because the first and last lines are the same and she can't seem to end the song.
Goofing around with DS, nonstop giggles and raspberries.
