We're taking a Halloween tip and focusing on really cool costumes.
(If you do the dress up thing for Halloween share your costumes.)
This year we are doing a Star Wars theme for the older kids.
My girls both wanted to be Queen Amidala. The makeup is so fun to do.:D
My son is going to be a Star Wars Clone.
And, our baby is going to be a LadyBug...think Bug's Life. :p
I may dress up as a mommy LadyBug...
DH is still thinking....
Forgot to add: even our poodle is going be a Star Wars character.
Grandma found one and is mailing it. She didn't know the name of
the actual character, so it'll be surprise. <grin>

Davis is going to be Cat in the Hat and the twins are going to be (shocker) Thing 1 and Thing 2..I ordered their costumes on ebay and they came yesterday...Last year they were all M&M's..

My little guy wants to be a tarantula - thank heavens for eBay. :cwds:
Maybe I'll be a waterspout.
P.S. Don't tell him it is just a spider costume, not a tarantula in particular.

We are going to all be the gang from Scooby Doo. Aidan is scooby, Autumn is Daphne, I am Velma, Andy will be Shaggy. Sadly, we are missing Fred, and none of our family is jumping at the opportunity.
Can't wait.

Mom...a Twinkie! That one always shocks everyone because they know Abby has D, and they can't believe I dress up like one. Hey, all you need is enough insulin to cover it! Maybe hubby should go as a Novopen to cover the Twinkie Carbs!

J is going to be Spidrerman and Catie is going to be a "butterfly fairy". (if you have been to the Children's Place recently..you have seen it. She has a pink obsesion now and that was the "pinkest fairy ever" in her opinion. :cwds:)

Kaylee is going to be Remy, the mouse (or rat??) from Ratatolie. and Jaylin is going to be a singing cat.. years before they were usually princess.. so I'm happy to see something different this year:)

Jeoy is going to be a grim reaper, Connor a decapitate body holding his treat bucket that doubles for his head, and Julia wont make up her dang mind!!! She will be stuck being whatever I can make fast if she doesn't pick soon!!! I am going to be an identity crisis, and dh is still deciding, but probably a cereal killer, complete with milk, and spoons.

Julia has never picked princess, and I have always wanted to do princess, lol. She wants something scary. I think she dresses up like a princess often enough that that is too everyday for her, lol. She's too funny sometimes.

Adam is going as a teenager........wohoooo hard costume to pull off there. Wear all black, don't shower, and run around.
And i am going back to my childhood and being a school girl,pig tails and all.
Taylor is being a pirate wench or something like that. so that she can use the costume when we go to the ren festival in feb.

I am making Ross a Thomas costume and 2 of his friends (twin boys) are coming over and they will be Percy and Bertie the bus. YES, I am making all the costumes! :eek:

Evan's going to be a frog (got the costume on the sale rack last year), Isabelle's going to be Tigger. Now for DH and I, I was thinking Pooh and the honey pot.:)

McKynzie is going to be WILMA FLINTSTONE and her real good friend is going as PEBBLES. It will be fun! They are only 10 though so there is no FRED.
So far I have a warewolf and one of the Blues Brothers (my oldest is undecided). I'll be a pageant girl ("Miss Understood"), my husband will be Don King.

Alana is going as Stephanie from Lazy Town. She had to have the pink wig. I am in trouble when she is a teen and really wants pink hair.

I think the whoopie cushion was classic!

My oldest son (with D..probably his last year to dress up) decided to be the Wendy's "hot, juicy burger" guy. We braided a Raggedy Ann wig and used some wire to get the braids to stick out sideways. :)
I have a Zombie Japanese Maiden and the Queen of Death...
Last Year it was a zombie bride, and the Princess of Evil
The year before: A zombie Pirate and a Zombie Tinkerbell...
Maybe it's finally time to break down and let them watch zombie movies?

T is going as a little witch. The costume is sooo cute!
My 8, soon to be 9 yr old DD, is going as Hermione Granger from Harry Potter. Hermione is her very favorite character! Her birthday is right after Halloween and we're having a Harry Potter/Hogwarts themed party. I get to be Professor McGonigal! I think my DH is suppose to be Snape for the party!:D

We're going to be up in Breckenridge for Halloween this year, where it will most likely be very cold, and probably snowy. My daughter is always reminding us of Hayden Panettiere from Heroes, so for a while she was going to dress up as "The Cheerleader" with a bit of gore added in so people would "get it". But, since we're going to be in a cold location we needed to go with something that will allow her the ability to layer. So for now she's just going as a girl from a slumber party or something. She can pile the clothes on underneath some pajamas.

I dont dress up for Halloween however Occassionally I do rat out my hair, put on ugly make-up, put on the ugliest non-matching clothes, throw in a set of ugly fake teeth and pick my kids up from school. I thought my oldest son was gonna die the first time I did it to him he ran accross the school yard and out to the parking lot screaming "she's not my Mom!" while I chased after him yelling " come on honey give your Mama a big kiss":D:D
