We had a new TGIF open near us and decided tonight to give it a try. When I pulled out my "handy-dandy carb book", I realized Carb King didn't list anything. DH went to the hostess to see if she could find us some info. A manager came over to explain that, unfortunately, they had limited information but asked what we were ordering and she would help us break it down. She then proceeded to describe the size of the bread and the amount of fries they serve (Cam was having his usual grilled cheese and fries - shocker!) I was so impressed that she took the time to figure this out with us!
Just wanted to share our positive experience! :)
Oh that's cool. We go to a Friday's around here quite often and usually just try to guestimate the fries amount. I just don't feel like asking them stuff and them just giving me this look like ...DUH.
Do you remember what they said about the serving size of the fries? Thx!

:D LOL.... that's the look I totally expect when I go to any restaurant and ask for nutrition info! That's why I was pleasantly surprised that they were willing to go out of their way to help me.
As for the fries, she said a regular serving is 4 oz. When our plates came, I realized she was talking about an adult serving and when I compared the two, his was half the size. So I just used my "handy-dandy carb book" (Cam HATES it when I say that!) and looked up fries.
His #'s stayed right on target all night. That's also a rarity when we eat out!;)
Glad to hear it! You should contact the corporate offices to commend the local branch and that manager in particular!

Your reference to you "handy-dandy carb book" gave me the giggles:D
Thanks!!
That is wonderful!
I tend now to go to "only" restaurants that can give me the nutritional info now, as it is such a hassle later on in the evening when my son pays the price for us under or over estimating the carbs.
I wish we had a TGIF still- we used to in our old city and I love it!
Boston Pizza finally got the info (near me anyway), and Swiss Chalet is THE best for nutritional info. Right up the with McDonald`s, lol- ya gotta love them for that at least:D
