Ok, so I got my blood test this morning, and it was positive. The office I go to does not do prenatal care, so they wanted me to call my OB/GYN's office, which I did, but I knew that she recently moved away. So I got an appt with her replacement, but not until the 26th, and not an U/S yet... :( I'll definitely be calling around to see about getting in to another OB. I'm assuming that anyone new I go to will end up sending me to the Perinatologist group I went to with first dd.
On the bright side, I'm feeling more and more symptoms, so that tells me that everything is going good so far.
Does anyone know if there is a certain # of days that it would take for symptoms of a tubal pg to show up? I tried searching but couldn't find out.

I would definitely get in to get an U/S. The risk of a tubal pregnancy after a TL is so much higher than without one, so I would really find a way to get an U/S to confirm.
Congrats!! I had a TL with Emma 2 1/2 years ago and there are days I get the pangs.

are you having any pain? if you have any sort of pain go to the ER right away. My friend's SIL just had a tubal that burst, she didn't know she was pg.. it was very scary for her..
if you aren't having any pain then you are ok.. tubals are painful.. the furthar they go the more painful.. so if you notice any pain, even if its minor go directly to the ER.. anyone you go see should do a date u/s anyway since you have no idea how far along you are..I would definitely be calling around.. explain your situation.. someone should be able to get you in
and by the way C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S ! ! !

I asked all kinds of questions and this is pretty much what I found out from the nurse on the phone today. I did find it kind of strange that they didn't see the urgency in getting me in ASAP for an U/S... which is why I'll be calling around!
Funny thing though, I was asking a girl from the billing dept at the OB office about what Medicaid plans they accepted, and she said she saw my account and the notes and then she suddenly said, "OMG, did WE do your tubal?" So I laughed and said yeah!

He's excited, but miserably sick so not showing it very much. He's more scared for me than anything else though; he was seriously talking about suing the Dr or office or hospital. Hmmm.... I didn't like the sound of that when I'm so ludicrously happy about it! Besides, I'm sure we signed away our right to sue.... anyone ever read all those papers you sign in the hospital?
I hope it works out well for you. When I found out that I was pregnant, I went to the ER. We had just moved to a new state, and I didn't have a doctor yet. At the ER, they confirmed the pregnancy. Not really sure how far along I was. But they did an ultrasound that night. Once they found that it was located right outside the ovary, the OB that was on call and I figured out the best game plan. I wasn't too far along, so I wasn't ready to rupture.
I hope it all works out for you. They should be able to do an ultrasound right away to make sure it isn't in the tube.

I had a TL after my youngest (he's almost a year old already!) I made sure my doc cut, tied, burned, and whatever else he could do = P. I'm sure, if you are truely interested in suing, that a good lawyer could get around all the paper work. Otherwise Dr. would never get sued, cause they always make you sign something =) How far in MI do you live? My OB is awesom. If you're not too far from Toledo, I could give you his number. Let me know.
By the way................................CONGRATULATIONS !

congrats!!!
I"m guessing you had a tubal and are worried about the risk of a tubal pg??
I've had my share of tubal pg, a big red flag is a low progesterone number.
As for when they can see something, when you levels are around 1500, a good u/s machine can pick up whether it is a uterine pg or not, also around 5 weeks. I too am pg and was scared to death the first week that it would be a tubal.

CONGRATS!!! That's great news! But I would be dying for an US were I in your shoes. Have you considered being sneaky to get one earlier? Like going to the ER complaining of abdominal pain and telling them that you got a positive HPT and have no clue how far along you are? You could chalk it all up to gas if everything turns out fine. ;) But at least you would know if its tubal or not then.
Best of luck!

I don't know how big the town is you live in but maybe try calling around and finding an ob/gyn office that actually does u/s's right there in the office!
As far as the papers you signed to get your tubal...YUP you signed away all rights!!!! LOL
I read mine VERY closely....LOL
Do you have any clue how far along you would be? The symptoms of a tubal would vary depending on where the egg actually implanted. Just because its refered to as a tubal doesn't necessarily mean the egg implanted in the tube. It can implant in other areas as well.
If I remember correctly if the egg is actually in the tubes you would show symptoms before you would if it implanted else where!
In the meanwhile make sure you know all the symptoms and don't hesitate to call the Dr when in doubt!
Also, it is an extreme case but if it was me and I had to wait that long I would "Fake" pain and go to the ER. They would DEFINATLY do an u/s if you went in with pain and you wouldn't have to wait another 2 weeks or whatever it was. I am VERY impatient and a HUGE worry wart...LOL
Please keep us updated! I wish you all the best! I had my tubes tied when I had Gavin & Devin and I would DIE if I got pregnant again. But after the circumstances that I got pregnant with the twins NOTHING would surprise me anymore!!!

((((((((Iana)))))))) Wow! Congratulations! I have a friend who had a perfectly healthy pregnancy after her tubal. Needless to say she wasn't too happy with the doctor that did it. How are your blood sugars running now? What do your girls think about it? You will be in my prayers.

thank you EVERYONE for your well-wishes! I called my OB office back and they squeezed me in today at 3:30, and I'm going to demand an U/S.
Yes, for those who were asking, I had my tubes tied, that is my cause for concern of having a tubal pg. But honestly, everything feels right and as long as I've had symptoms, if it were actually IN the tube, I truly think I would have felt it or had something go wrong by now. I didn't test till the other day because 1- obviously I feel like a fool every time I do test and 2- my pre-menstrual symptoms feel more & more like pg symptoms all the time! But dh said he knew my boobs had been getting bigger all month, LOL!
I truly think this is a miracle-- I had been praying for another baby, for a tubal failure, for those 3+ years since Mercy's birth, and a few weeks ago, I finally was not praying for a baby, but for my period to start, to just get all the heartache over with. I finally turned it over to God, to do in His timing, and boy did He pull through!!!
Yeah, to whomever said it, I'm stunned. Completely stunned. Not that I don't trust in God, but more like, why would He grant my desires? Gotta love Him for it! :D

Congrats on your newest little blessing!
I think the early u/s are good at making sure the baby is in-utero and not a tubal pregnancy. Make sure your dr knows your concerns, and hopefully they will be doing u/s for you.
Babies are the best. I guess you can see from my sig that we have a large family. My husband actually got a vasectomy after our 4th was born, but then our hearts changed and we were able to get a reversal, and have been blessed with 3 more children. Now whenever I hear of someone getting sterilized, I alway offer our own story to show that you just never know......circumstances and hearts can change.

Congrats! I am sure ya'll are thrilled..After I had the twins not only did I have my tubes tied dh had a vasectomy (we figured if they were both 98% affective we should be good)..We decided when they started coming in pairs we needed to stop..I can only imagine if I were to get pregnant again, 2 drs would have some explaining to do:)
