Just back from our first JDRF walk and feeling overwhelmed. The weather was a perfect New England day and the hugs and support from friends and family has left me smiling from ear to ear. Team Taylor raised 4010 dollars!!! Tomorrow we will have to get started on next year.

WOW! $4,000.00+ way to go!!
We walked yesterday in Boston. It was gorgeous. But I prefer to walk before the actual walk starts. That way I'm walking into the party as 1,000's of folks are just starting out. Then I can visit w/ the different vendors and all w/o battling huge crowds, strollers, bikes, dogs,,,,,

We also walked out first, although raised no where near that money my hubbie contributes through work weekly so that is almost $600.00/year.

We walked in north haven ct. The way we raised our money was asking people to join our team first and if they couldn't do that a donation? Taylor and her sis did alot of door to door and I made a poster with her sweet pic on it so my husband and put them by our time clocks at work. taylor herself did 1,100 and the team did the rest. She had about 50 people in all sporting TEAM Taylor tshirts. Money aside the support was amazing. It was a day to celebrate our sweet ones - My hero.

We walked yesterday too:o. Our walk was an ADA walk in Odessa, Texas. I don't have our final team total yet but so far I know our team raised around $8700.:D We raised $2200, another type 1 raised around $4500 and another type 1 raised $2000 and I still have 2 others that I don't have their totals yet. It was GREAT!!!!

We walked in St. Louis today (SYD'S TEAM) and turned in over $8300.00.

We walked in E. Hartford CT today - Black Bart's Gang. We raised just about $1400 - there were 5 of us. This was our second walk.

We walked yesterday in Nashua NH, same for Kaylee's mom. She and I were on the walk committee. Whew! Came home and slept for 2 hrs:D It was a great time. Our team raised over $7,000! We had 19 people turn out to support us. The day was so beautiful, we couldn't have asked for more.

I came home and slept too.. it was fun to see it all coem together.. I put the dress on Kaylee this morning, and its huge LOL.. so we'll have to exchange it.. I thought the 7/8 would be good, she could wear it this year and next, having it longer.. but its almost to the floor LOL.. and the shoulders hang off..

We are walking on the 20th of this month in Atlanta, GA. Hubby and I raise about $300 for far but more people still owe us plain checks....they are not computer savy to donate straight from the online page. : )

Hoping for a nice fall day to be able to really do the walk!
