:(I was so bummed on Friday and so was my son. He was running Low All day at school (can't figure out why, no activity ate good have no clue) anyway, he had 3 tests in school that day-math, spelling and social studies. Well due to his many lows he wasn't able to finish his math or social studies tests...the teachers are allowing him to finish of Monday- but just seeing how upset he was about it really hurt me as well. D really s-cks!!!! Just had to share, cause I know YOU know how I feel. Thanks for listening.

I found that last year when Delaney was to take a standardized test she would drop like a rock. The stress of taking the test sent her numbers as low as 40. She is just starting 4th grade this year and will have more real "tests" so we are going to pay close attention to how her body responses to these tests...

Really..Ryan is in 5th. Like I said, I couldn't figure out for the life of me why he was so low all day...but if he's anything like Delaney, 3 tests in one day I guess could put him over the edge. They were spread throughout the day as well. That's interesting, I'll have to keep an eye on that for a pattern. Hmmmm

I'm glad the teachers are letting him finish later...that is part of my son's 504. But it is so sad that he's so upset about it. {{{hugs******

He should probably retake the whole test...Since he was low, he may not have done as well as he normally would:( Poor guy, sorry he had a hard day.

Sorry to hear about what happened to your son. It's great he has a 504 in place and an understanding teacher.

You may want your children to check bg approximately an hour before tests when possible so they can treat any lows or highs and get closer to target by the time the test starts. Of course this is not necessarily going to work but it may help in some instances.

He actually had tested several times that day...more than usual because he was low so much.

It is horrible when you have a day of lows. I am an adult and two days ago had a 24 hour period like that. I tested five times below 50-I was between 40 and 50 with all my lows. I corrected and reduced my basal several times. I check 10 to 15 times daily. This is unusual, but does happen to me with-hormonal changes,or that syndrome where you are more prone to lows if you have them, or just the :"who KNOWS what" part of being a type one. I run into one of those days several times a year and when I was younger and more hormonal at least one day a month for thirty years. Good Luck.
