I just realized something.
I have never had a diabetes dream. I have never dreamed about low blood sugars, or high blood sugars... I HAVE woken up with a nagging feeling like i should go check my son, (so I do) but I have never had a dream about a certian number, or a site insertion, or a shot...nothing...
Have you???

Yes, often I`m doing something for d-care. It`s more of an "aside".

I've only started having diabetes-related dreams in the past few months. I guess it's because my control has intensified and I've been thinking about it way more often. For me, it's mostly dreaming about injecting a specific amount of insulin or losing/being without my meter. When I was younger, I would have "candy" dreams (where I would find a huge stash of chocolate or something) right before I would wake up with a low. :p

I had a first "D" nightmare about a week ago triggered by a low from out of knowhere on a weekend that we slept in till 7. I have been dx'd 18months, and Maddison for 9months. I guess I felt totally blindsided becuase we had been so comfortable with no lows at night. It was a serious nightmare, heart pounding, jumped out of bed screaming becuase the meter in my dream read Lo. Ugh. Hopefully that will be the first and last nightmare!

Maybe you have had a dream, but you don't remember it;) I don't remember any specific dreams either, maybe though...

Lastnight my son had a dream that he was 62 (1116), and asked me what we would do. I thought at first he meant 62 years.

Interesting question. I have been living with and thinking constantly about diabetes since our daughter's diagnosis, learning and analyzing lots every day. Funny thing though is no dreams yet, and I often dream about things that are occupying my thoughts.

That's why I thought it was so odd.. I mean, it is all I do, It is all I talk about, I am always on the Diabetes train of thought.
And so...
maybe my brain knows I need a break??? I dunno.
It is odd.....
When you go to France and speak french for awhile you are supposed to start dreaming in french...
so Ive been in Diabetes for 3 years now... so... what is the deal???
:)
