I am SO excited! Over last weekend my aunt Robyn (ReeRee, Zeb's_Mom on here) taught me how to use Zeb's pump, how to bolus and correct and everything. Then today, my mom showed me how to use a glucometer, and I tested my own blood sugar. The first time my mom talked me through it (I came out at 103 mg/dL), then the second time I did it all by myself (after I ate--I was 123 mg/dL). :D
I want to be either a child psychologist that specializes in children and teens with Type One D, or an Endocrinologist when I grow up. I guess these are the first steps! :cwds:

Zeb is one lucky kid to have a cuz like you! I'm sending you a pat on the back for learning all of this and I'm sending a pat on the back to your parents for raising such a good kid! Keep up the good work!!!

Jessi,
That is exciting!
I hope you do go into the field. I know that we do need a lot of endos, I cant think of anyplace where people DONT have to wait to get into thier endo...
I know a lot of places would love to have one, we dont have one in our city, and it is pretty depressing.
Good luck to you, and keep up the good work. Everything you do to lead you to your goal is good.

Way to go Jessi!!!!
You are so cool! Glad that you are interested in helping your cousin. Learn all you can about T1 and you can be very proud of you accomplishments. There are lots of people who don't understand about what a T1 goes thru but you seem to really care. This is a good thing.
SO PROUD OF YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks guys! I'm still very excited.
Also...As soon as I can get my printer working, I'm going to print out some flyers that ReeRee made for our walk team, and put them up around my school. Hopefully that will help us to reach our team goal! I'm so happy that I've been able to be so involved with all of this. I've also been able to teach alot of my friends about what I've been learning, and that's always a good feeling. ^_^
