When I was diagnosed, we were in the middle of a 2 day drive moving from New Jersey to Colorado. I now suspect I had DKA for about 2 weeks. My parents kept getting annoyed with me and wouldnt let me drink too much water because I was goin to the bathroom too much:rolleyes: Then in Indiana it was too much. I could barely get up from bed in my grandparents house, so we went to the emergency room. Then they diagnosed me and moved me to the Riley Childrens Hospital. That was all only last year, when I was 12. Ill never forget that road trip!:D

Well for me. Once I had this stomach ache. It was really hurt! When I'm in Los Angeles, I went to the bathroom to much! I just don't know why! I didn't drink that much either. But then I knew I had diabetes. Well, it was the last three years. Now I'm 16 years old. I totally forget everything! I'm totally forgetful! I just don't know what to do with my diagnosed body! Then, my parents noticed there's something wrong with me.So, they got me into this hospital. I don't know the name anyway. Anyway, the doctor say I can't drink too much water! And I need to eat normal stuff but I can't eat spicy, sweets food! For example, hamburgers, yummy sweets, gummy bears. This is just so annoying!!!

It would probably be best to avoid sweet things till your bgs get under control. Then you can figure out a way to work them into your diet. That's probably why the dr told you that when you were diagnosed.
