So, so beautiful. I've just read it, and I have tears in my eyes...
thanks so much for posting this link, Ellen!
When Jess was diagnosed and I drove her to the nearest big town to go to the hospital, I also had tears in my eyes. I made a vow on that trip: that I would do everything within my power to make sure she could still fulfil every dream she had; that I would do all I could to make sure that diabetes would not hold her back from living her life.
... and today the tears are here again because I know diabetes has made me stronger and it will do the same for her. Because fulfilling that vow is not a dream, it's a reality. It's possible and it's already happening...

[CENTER] I just read the sixuntilme blog. It made me so sad inside but at the same time I felt kind of relieved. I guess it made me see that children with diabetes do go on to live a normal life and are happy. It feels good to hear someone talk of diabetes in a positive way. Her saying that diabetes is not going to take control of her she's going to take control of it. I do agree that diabetes does make a person stronger!

Thank you guys for visiting my blog. I'm honored and very humbled to have my blog mentioned on the Children With Diabetes forums. Please feel free to visit, read, and comment, if you'd like. Gaining the perspectives of both fellow diabetics and the parents that raised them shows me how truly far reaching the effects of this disease are.
Thank you again for your kind words. Hope to hear from you on the blog!
-- Kerri.
