reusing tubing

Argh. Aaron is using the Comfort short infusion sets and you are supposed to be able to reuse the tubing on them once. We are doing something wrong though because almost every time he reuses the tubing he runs middling high for about nearly 24 hours. I was thinking it was an air bubble and we've reprimed and watched but have never seen a bubble come through the tubing. Last time he hovered around 10 from lunchtime to bedtime. I checked him in the night and he was down to 7.9, was normal by breakfast but then shot high again by midmorning. He changed the site and went right back to normal.

The easy solution is just not to try to reuse the tubing -- but I am stuck with this combo box of ten sets and only half of them have tubing.

Anyone else experienced this, or found the solution??

Carefully check the tubing at the luer lock. Austin uses the comfort short and for awhile the mini tender and both have a problem with both partial and full breakages occuring at the luer lock.
