We went to a local High school and the Industrial Arts class, grade 10 I think, did them up for us.
It was a minimal cost because it was part of the curriculum to silk screen.

I used the BEST site last year.. customink.com they are awesome.. if you put their logo somewhere on your shirt they give you .50 of pershirt (I think that was the amount) and then if you link their site from your site they do a donation.. there was something else too.. I ended up getting abunch of discounts from them.. and their lab to make the shirts is awesome.. you can pick your shirt, the color, thread count, weight all that stuff.. upload your own pictures and then they have a ton of clip art..plus fonts and creative ways to write.. and then you can get a quote right then and there.. its just an awesome site.. out shirt one best t-shirt last year;)

here is the link http://www.customink.com/p/0050/index.html?cm_ven=Google&cm_cat=CustomInk&cm_pla=CustomInk&cm_ite=customink.com&gclid=CJ_Em4nwlY4CFRyOFQodpQ8PDw

We used a computer program called "T-shirt Factory Deluxe" (If you want to get creative). It's a good program, and is available at Amazon.com. We got it at a computer store near us. We won an award last year for our t-shirts!

I did ours for this year using Avery Design Pro 5. For my first time doing something like that it was pretty easy. THe hardes part for me was finding an iron to use!

I guess it depends on how many you need. I found a graphics person in the phone book to do them last year, and they ran me about $4/per shirt. JDRF can email them the walk logo, and it will show up right on the shirt. This year, I need a larger quantity, and have a little more invovled on the shirt, so they will probably run me about $6/shirt. There is a person that I met who is also on the Board of Directors for our local JDRF that does this for a living, so I figured I would throw him the sale.
If you just need a few, you can buy iron on labels in the computer paper section of wal mart, and create your design in word, print it out, and iron it right on your own shirt. I was so impressed with some of the shirts last year. One team was the "PUMP"kins - perfect since it was in October. They had orange shirts with little pumpkins on the pocket. Very cute.

Lisa- there are so many options out there.
Cafepress is good because you can do a multicolor design and not pay for additional colors- plus there is no minimum to order. Before they used to just have white but have expanded their color choices in the past year and you can do a variety of products. Just have to pay for shipping.

Customink is good too-They have a huge assortment of colors for and inks. I believe there is a small minimum. But like was noted there are discount offers.

We found a local guy (actually we both helped coach our sons' Tball team a few years ago and the boys goto the same school but in different classes)- the cost was so low and the quality was outta this world. Plus he was right across town and didnt have a minimum so theres no shipping.

If ya need help with a logo- shoot me an email. I have so many ideas pop in my head but I can only use 1 a year for us. We won the shirt contest the fiwrst year but since Ive been on the committee I dont enter it anymore.

I asked for money saving tips at customink.com and received this. Just an FYI ---

Thanks for the email. Here are a few money saving tips:

1. Increase Quantity: Items are produced in bulk, so ordering more brings the price way down.

2. Reduce Color Count: Each color on each side requires unique setup, so lower your price by limiting the number of colors printed.

3. Pick an Affordable Item: To keep prices low, avoid premium and colored garments. Standard, white t-shirts offer great value. Try Gildan 100% Cotton for our most affordable pricing.

4. Use Sponsorship: Add our logo to your design and save $0.50/piece. It will be printed at a size of 1.0" x 6.0" and can be placed anywhere on the front or back of the shirt.

I don't know - all the choices except for doing it myself like I did last year are still so costly.... :( I think I'm going without shirts this year and putting all the money towards JDRF.

Why dont you get a coiuple of local businesses to sponsor the shirts- put their logo on the back for a fee- take half of the fee to offset the cost of the shirts and the other half included in a donation.

When you do this, how big of a logo do you tell the business you place on the back? I could try - everyone hits our businesses up for all kinds of sports sponsorships - but it's worth a try.
