Just wondering what are some of your thoughts are on Denise Faustman's upcoming clinical trials in 2008 using BCG to possibly reverse or halt diabetes?

i just read the newsletter from dr.fautsman, i looks promising that a cure will
be found soon, they were suppose to start human trials this year,but i guess
it will start early next year.
lets pray a cure pops up soon.....i will have a party of my life that day !!!!
i pray each day that god gives strength to the doctors behind this research so that our children can live like other kids....

I'm less enthusiastic. I read a June update that said she still needs to determine dosing in NOD mice. We don't even know IF it will translate to humans.
For nearly 18 years now, I've heard that a cure is just around the corner.
I've heard about new treatments in mice that are sure to work in humans. None have.
I am highly skeptical of any bold claim about a cure until the science has been done. Research by press release should give anyone concern.
