Hi!!!
Has anyone ever heard of the body developing antibodies to insulins if you switch from one type to the other??
My daughter was on Lantus and we tried Levemir (2.0 units once daily) for 3 weeks. Did not seem to be very effective!!! I want to go back to Lantus, but her endo made a statement about developing antibodies.

I'm not really sure what you mean about antibodies:confused: I can tell you that after over 3 years on Novolog, it started taking longer to work for Seth. Like over 3 hours to finish working..Hence the switch to Apidra. Is it poss. she just needs more Levemir? What made yu switch from Lantus in the first place???

Hi!!
I switched to Levemir only because of availability (I am a FNP and have a friend that is a pharmaceutical rep). After reading a few studies on Levemir I asked my endo and he decided to try it out for a while.
Caitlin seems to be very sensitive to Novolg bolus (drops her BS quickly).
